Typing tools

Typing progress tracker

Keep your practice results, compare the same language and duration, and see how your typing changes. Import results locally or enter your own counts.

Add a practice result

Download result JSON from a ToolzMate timed test, then open it here. Your passage and typed text are discarded.

Used for a timed result or manual entry. Imported history keeps its own dates.

ToolzMate timed-result or progress JSON, up to 1 MB. Read locally. Untimed reviews and summary TXT files cannot be imported.

Uncheck if identical counts on the same date represent separate attempts.

Enter counts manually

Use the final character counts from your result. No sample counts are prefilled.

No history loaded or saved automatically.

Keep this history

History stays in memory until you choose to save or download it.

Save overwrites this tool’s browser copy. Load replaces current history, with Undo available. Nothing is read or saved automatically. Closing or reloading loses unsaved entries. A JSON backup can be imported later.

Compare useful practice records

Import a timed ToolzMate result or enter its final counts and elapsed time manually. Rates are recalculated from counts; imported WPM and accuracy values are ignored. Choose a language and duration to see best/latest correct-position WPM and the change between your earliest and latest entries. Mixed groups have no speed comparison. Accuracy of shown entries is total correct characters divided by total typed characters, rather than an average of percentages.

Dates determine order; records on the same date retain their entry order. The line chart spaces entries evenly. These are self-reported practice records, not exam verification or a ranking. Different passages, keyboards and conditions can affect comparisons even within one group.

Edit, undo and export

Edit a row to correct its date or counts. Remove, edit, add, import, clear and load can be undone once in memory. Undo does not change saved browser data. The duplicate-import option compares date, language, duration and both counts; identical real attempts can be retained by unchecking it. Manual additions always represent a new entry.

CSV includes the currently shown group in date order with calculated rates. JSON backs up all entries using only dates, language, elapsed milliseconds and typed/correct counts. No passage, typed text, account or identity is kept. Save and Load use this browser and site origin only; storage can be unavailable or cleared. Storage failures preserve current history for download. Delete saved history removes the browser copy while retaining current entries.

Limits

Up to 100 entries; valid dates from 1900 to 9999; elapsed time from 1 to 1,800 seconds; integer typed counts from 1 to 12,000 and correct counts from zero to typed. JSON files are limited to 1 MB and 250,000 UTF-16 units. Fixed-duration imports must satisfy their declared deadline eligibility. Files are processed locally, with no upload, synchronization, analytics or leaderboard.
