A white border is kept around the code. Dense content may need a larger PNG. SVG scales for printing.

Share a network without typing its password

Enter the exact network name and choose its security type. Passwords and spaces are preserved; punctuation is escaped for the Wi-Fi QR format. Generate, review the network summary, and download PNG for screens or SVG for printing. Scan a test copy with the devices your guests use before sharing it.

Supported networks

This tool supports WPA/WPA2 Personal, open networks and common legacy WEP keys. Enterprise/EAP, pure WPA3/SAE and captive-portal sign-in are not configured here. The generator does not connect to your router or verify its password. Scanner and operating-system support varies.

Network names use UTF-8 text, up to 32 bytes, with control characters rejected. Raw binary SSIDs are not supported. WPA/WPA2 passwords use 8–63 printable ASCII characters or a 64-digit hex key; WEP supports 5/13 ASCII characters or 10/26 hex digits. Hex-looking textual names and passphrases are quoted following the ZXing convention; test these names carefully on the intended scanner.

Privacy and corrections

No details are sent to a server or saved in browser storage. Open-network output omits the password; switching back retains your entered password until Clear all. The example can be undone until you edit. Clear all removes the inputs, example undo and generated content from the page; it does not delete previous downloads or clipboard content. Editing any encoded field or output setting removes stale downloads immediately.

The QR is a readable representation of the credentials, not encryption. Changing the router password means generating a new code. This tool never opens a network connection or sends the code to anyone.
