Signature preparation

Crop your signature scan visually, set exact pixel dimensions and check the actual JPG or PNG file-size range privately in your browser.

1. Choose your signature scan

Drop one JPG or PNG, or choose a file. Processing stays on this device.

Up to 10 MB, 12 million pixels and 4,096 pixels per side.

2. Frame the signature

Drag a rectangle around the ink. Drag inside it to move it, or drag its corners to resize. Keep every stroke inside the selection.

Precise crop and keyboard controls

Focus the image and use arrow keys to move the crop; hold Shift for 10 pixels. These fields also let you set the selection without dragging.

Choose an image to begin.

3. Enter the upload requirements

Copy the dimensions and file-size limits from your application’s current instructions.

The selected image is centered on white without stretching. These starting values are an example, not an application preset.

A percentage of the shorter output side. Extra space may remain to preserve the signature’s proportions.

1 KB = 1,000 bytes. Set minimum to 0 if no minimum is required. Exact output dimensions stay fixed.

Choose your image or try the sample.

Prepare a clear signature image

  1. Read the current instructions for your application, including ink, paper, scanning, dimensions and file format. Choose a clear scan of your own signature.
  2. Drag around all the ink. Use the corners to resize the selection; use the precise fields or keyboard if preferred. Rotate a sideways scan.
  3. Enter the required width, height and file-size limits. The crop is centered without stretching, with a white background and optional margin.
  4. Prepare, inspect the actual exported image at 100%, check the byte range and download. Use the original source again if small strokes are missing or blurred.

Requirements vary by application

The default 300 × 100 pixels and 50 KB maximum are examples, not an official preset. This tool checks the values you enter. An official IBPS PO XIII scanning annexure illustrates application-specific dimensions, byte limits and signature instructions; that historical notification is not a current universal rule. Check your own application’s latest instructions.

What the file-size check means

One KB is 1,000 bytes here. A zero minimum disables the lower bound. JPG quality is searched with at most nine measured attempts while keeping the output dimensions fixed; PNG uses lossless encoding. The output may remain above the maximum or below the minimum, which is clearly reported. No filler bytes are added to reach a minimum. A failed range still allows an explicitly labelled review download. Browser encoding differs, and the search does not guarantee a mathematically optimal file.

Privacy and practical limits

Your image stays in this browser. No upload or saved signature library is used. Input limits are 10 MB, 12 million pixels and 4,096 pixels per side; output limits are 4 million pixels and 16–4,096 pixels per side. Preparation has a 30-second deadline per asynchronous stage. Native encoding already running may finish after cancellation, but its stale result is ignored. Cancel retains the source and settings; Clear removes them. EXIF orientation is applied and metadata is removed. Animated PNG becomes a still image. Transparency is flattened onto white for both formats. Enlarging does not recover detail, and resizing or JPG compression can change strokes. There is no ink recognition, signature authentication, automatic background cleaning or acceptance guarantee.
