Compare two pay offers

Put both offers in the same currency. See recurring cash, benefits and first-year totals separately.

Currency sets the money unit. It does not convert exchange rates.

Offer A
Paid time assumptions

Used to annualize hourly pay and calculate cash per paid hour. Include paid leave; exclude unpaid weeks. Defaults are editable.

Bonus, benefits and one-time pay

Use only the employer-funded value. Do not add salary, paid leave already included in pay, or your own contributions again.

Included only in the first-year package. Check eligibility, vesting and repayment terms separately.

Offer B
Paid time assumptions

Used to annualize hourly pay and calculate cash per paid hour. Include paid leave; exclude unpaid weeks. Defaults are editable.

Bonus, benefits and one-time pay

Use only the employer-funded value. Do not add salary, paid leave already included in pay, or your own contributions again.

Included only in the first-year package. Check eligibility, vesting and repayment terms separately.

Gross estimates before tax or deductions. Variable pay and benefits may not be guaranteed. All entered annual amounts assume a full year; starting midyear is not prorated.

Compare the same things

Enter base pay for its stated period. A monthly offer normally has 12 payments; twice a month has 24, and every two weeks normally has 26. Check the actual schedule and edit payments per year when needed. For hourly pay, enter paid hours per week and paid weeks per year. Annual bonuses and employer-funded benefits are separate estimates.

A 40-hour week over 52 paid weeks is 2,080 hours, but that does not fit every role. South Dakota’s labor market guidance explains why annual and hourly wage assumptions vary. Use the paid schedule in each offer rather than assuming identical hours.

What the totals mean

Recurring annual cash adds annualized base pay and the annual bonus estimate. Benefits are shown separately because their estimated value is not cash you can spend. The first-year package adds a one-time payment without proration. A higher total does not determine which job is better for you.

This tool does not estimate tax, deductions, overtime premiums, exchange rates, equity vesting or repayment obligations. It supports nonnegative amounts up to a first-year total of 1 trillion currency units, 1–366 payments, up to 168 paid hours per week and 53 paid weeks per year. Hours and weeks allow two decimal places. Currency precision follows the shared dated registry. All processing stays in this browser; nothing is saved automatically.
