Choose requirements, then read the evidence

Paste a job description and your resume, or import a PDF/TXT resume. Suggestions provide a starting list of simple words and short list phrases. Review them, remove generic wording and add important phrases yourself. Each requirement can have one alternative you consider equivalent, such as JavaScript and JS.

Understand what a match means

Matching ignores case, normalizes Unicode compatibility characters and repeated whitespace, and respects word boundaries. Java does not match JavaScript; C does not match C++ or C#. Word forms, synonyms and hyphen differences are not inferred. Add an explicit alternative when appropriate. Counts are capped at 1,000 per phrase and two excerpts per source.

A match can occur in negative or unrelated context. A phrase not found may be expressed differently, while a matched phrase does not prove a qualification. Compare the excerpts with the role and describe only real experience. This tool does not calculate an ATS score or predict an employer's decision.

Resume imports and privacy

PDF imports use the same bounded local text extraction as ATS readability checker: up to 10 MiB, 20 pages, 100,000 characters and 50,000 fragments. PDFs with empty text pages are rejected as partial imports, so you can inspect the original before supplying complete text. No OCR or DOCX parsing is provided. Password-protected files require an unprotected copy you can open. UTF-8 TXT imports are limited to 400 KiB and 100,000 characters.

Job descriptions are limited to 50,000 characters and comparisons to 40 requirements of up to 80 characters each. Imports have a 45-second deadline and can be cancelled. Invalid imports preserve existing text and results; editing either source or a requirement invalidates the old comparison. Files and text stay in browser memory without uploads or saved drafts. JSON downloads include inputs and evidence, plus the original imported file's fingerprint where available.
